Mujeres migrantes latinoamericanas: expresión e integración cultural a través del patrimonio gastronómico.

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene el propósito de conocer y describir las experiencias de integración de mujeres migrantes latinoamericanas residentes en Concepción (Chile) a través de su patrimonio gastronómico, el cual se concibe como una manifestación que integra y contribuye a la identidad sociocultural. Desde una aproximación cualitativa con una muestra de nueve mujeres provenientes de Venezuela que se desempeñan en labores gastronómicas, se utilizó un enfoque narrativo biográfico y se aplicaron entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los hallazgos obtenidos dan cuenta que las mujeres son las principales referentes y Transmisoras del patrimonio culinario en el proceso migratorio, evidenciando que la integración en el país receptor esté dada principalmente por su ocupación gastronómica, a través de las herramientas y conocimientos adquiridos en la infancia y adolescencia, dicha ocupación es motivada por la precariedad laboral a la que se han enfrentado al llegar. Lo anterior permite conocer el tipo de vinculación y valoración con el patrimonio gastronómico, antes y después del proceso migratorio.

The purpose of this research is to know and describe the integration experiences of Latin American immigrant women residing in Concepción (Chile) through their gastronomic heritage, which is conceived as a manifestation that integrates and contributes to the sociocultural identity. From a qualitative approach with a sample of nine women from Venezuela who work in gastronomic tasks. A biographical narrative approach was used, and semi-structured interviews were applied. The findings obtained show that women are the main referents and transmitters of the culinary heritage in the migratory process, evidencing that the integration in the receiving country is mainly given by their gastronomic occupation, through the tools and knowledge acquired in childhood and adolescence, such occupation is motivated by the labor precariousness they have faced upon arrival, all of the above allows knowing the type of linkage and valuation with the gastronomic heritage, before and after the migratory process.
