Metodología: Se llevo a cabo una revisión de la literatura entre los meses de mayo y junio del año 2021. La búsqueda se realizó en Pubmed, Web of sience y BVS, la ecuación de búsqueda fue: “Food Neophobia” and Children y los criterios de exclusión fueron: artículos realizados en animales, artículos cuyo objetivo sea distinto al propuesto y artículos realizados en personas adultas. Resultados: Se encontraron 567 artículos en la búsqueda inicial, luego de aplicar los criterios de exclusión y un segundo filtro quedando 15 artículos para su utilización. Las madres que consumieron una mayor variedad de alimentos durante la gestación y lactancia materna tenían hijos menos neofobicos. Los niños que tenían entre 8 y 15 exposiciones a un alimento eran más propensos a consumirlos. Los padres que alimentaban a sus hijos en un ambiente optimo y consumían los mismos alimentos tenían menos probabilidad de ser neofobicos a la edad de 2 a 5 años. La presencia de distractores y premios a la hora de comer al inicio de la alimentación complementaria se asoció con un mayor nivel de neofobia. Conclusión: La evidencia determinó que existen factores relacionados a la madre que influyen en la neofobia alimentaria en niños.Objective: To identify factors related to the mother associated with food neophobia in children.
