Las Vegas Magallanicas are ecosystems formed during the recent glaciation periods that are composed of flat soils with a high content of organic matter and a high-water storage capacity. The meadows provide different benefits to the Magellan flora and fauna and many of them were affected by the construction of drains, to increase the productive surface. The poor design of these drains caused significant deterioration in the structure of the soils of the plains that dried up. To recover the meadows degraded by the construction of drains, a methodology is proposed to improve the existing drainage systems, through the implementation of a gate system to control the water level in the existing drains. This system was modeled with MATLAB software, using the Hooghoudt and Ernst equations, to study drainage behavior. The adaptability of the drainage to the characteristics of the Vega Magallanicas was compared, using as a case study an existing meadow in the INIA Kampenaike Station. The results showed that the Ernst equation generated better estimates to characterize the soil profile and a greater range of adaptability to analyze the remediation proposals to the pre-existing drainage systems.esCC BY-NC-ND 4.0 DEED Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 InternationalAguas subterráneas - ChileHumedales - ChileSistema de drenajeDiseño y modelación de sistemas de drenaje para Vegas Magallánicas.Tesis
