Estudio de prefactibilidad de una start-up chilena en la industria fintech.

Abstract

Este proyecto tiene como propósito el estudio de prefactibilidad y la evaluación de una startup. Lo anterior, con el fin de guiar a la start-up propuesta, la cual está inmersa en la industria fintech. Dentro del corto plazo la empresa comenzará operaciones en Chile y México inicialmente, para posteriormente apuntar a todo Latinoamérica. Para guiar la evaluación se estudia el marco teórico necesario para su realización. De este se desprende una estructura base para esta evaluación del proyecto y la descripción de los análisis necesarios para completar este estudio. Se presenta un análisis interno de la start-up, como también de su entorno y del mercado en el que se desenvuelve. Con el fin de lograr la conclusión de factibilidad del proyecto, como uno de los estudios se debe realizar una evaluación económica, que finalmente se resume en una valorización del negocio. Se busca que esta valorización establezca valores atractivos para decidir seguir con el proyecto y atraer inversionistas. Dentro del primer capítulo de resultados se encuentra un análisis situacional de la compañía. Además, en aspectos de la evaluación económica, debido al poco tiempo de operación de la empresa y la escasez de datos, se calcularon tres escenarios de valorización distintos para la startup, considerando un escenario pesimista, uno probable y uno optimista. Los escenarios son creados en función de parámetros que consolidarán la participación de la start-up en el mercado. Como principal conclusión se responde a los resultados obtenidos de la evaluación de este proyecto en conjunto con las consideraciones encontradas en el estudio. Se proponen ciertas recomendaciones a la empresa para aumentar su rentabilidad y así, obtener una vista mas completa de los resultados de la start-up.

The purpose of this project is the pre-feasibility study and evaluation of a start-up. The above, in order to guide the proposed start-up, which is immersed in the fintech industry. Within the short term the company will begin operations in Chile and Mexico initially, to later target all of Latin America. To guide the evaluation, the theoretical framework necessary for its realization is studied. This provides a basic structure for this evaluation of the project and the description of the analyses necessary to complete this study. An internal analysis of the start-up is presented, as well as its environment and the market in which it operates. In order to achieve the conclusion of feasibility of the project, as one of the studies an economic evaluation must be carried out, which is finally summarized in a valuation of the business. It is sought that this valuation establishes attractive values to decide to continue with the project and attract investors. Within the first chapter of results is a situational analysis of the company. In addition, in aspects of the economic evaluation, due to the short operating time of the company and the scarcity of data, three different valuation scenarios were calculated for the start-up, considering a pessimistic scenario, a probable one and an optimistic one. The scenarios are created based on parameters that will consolidate the participation of the start-up in the market. The main conclusion is the results obtained from the evaluation of this project in conjunction with the considerations found in the study. Certain recommendations are roposed to the company to increase its profitability and thus obtain a more complete view of the results of the start-up.
