Análisis Sociopragmático del Palabreo como Formato Conversacional de la Comunidad LGBTIQ+ Chilena y sus Alcances Identitarios.

Abstract

La investigación aborda el fenómeno del palabreo desde tres perspectivas distintas, pero complementarias entre sí. El primer estudio explora cómo los hablantes que forman parte del colectivo LGBTIQ+ conceptualizan y describen el palabreo. Se evidencian sus características como formato conversacional y se aprecia cómo su uso determina la conformación de una comunidad de práctica vigente y dinámica en términos de actividad lingüística. Se advierten los lazos que el palabreo establece con las condicionantes históricas, sociales y culturales que inciden sobre el colectivo, por lo que se transforma en una marca identitaria para los hablantes. El segundo estudio aborda el fenómeno de la descortesía en el palabreo. En él se observan cómo las violaciones sistemáticas a las estrategias de cortesía se emplean de manera abierta y directa, dirigidas tanto a la imagen positiva como negativa del interlocutor. En tales condiciones, la descortesía es interpretada como simulada, a partir de las pistas contextuales disponibles en la interacción. En el tercer estudio, se examinan las dinámicas humorísticas del palabreo. Se evidencia que el tópico de conversación principal en las situaciones comunicativas jocosas es la apariencia del interlocutor. El humor se emplea principalmente como un despliegue de poder del emisor, generalmente mediante la burla. La tipología de humor más común según el significado del hablante es el autotélico. Se sugiere continuar explorando el fenómeno del palabreo en diferentes condiciones contextuales.

The research addresses the phenomenon of palabreo from three different perspectives that are complementary to each other. The first study determines how the speakers who are part of the LGBTIQ+ community conceptualize and describe the palabreo. Its characteristics as a conversational format are studied. It explores how the use of palabreo determines the formation of a current and dynamic community of practice in terms of linguistic activity. The links that the palabreo establishes with the historical, social and cultural conditions that affect the group are noted, so that it becomes an identity mark for the speakers. The second study addresses the phenomenon of impoliteness in the palabreo. It shows how systematic violations of politeness strategies are used in an open and direct way, aimed at both the positive and negative face of the addressee. In such conditions, impoliteness is interpreted as simulated, based on the contextual clues available in the interaction. In the third study, the humorous dynamics of palabreo are examined. It is established that the main topic of conversation in humorous communicative situations is the appearance of the interlocutor. Humor is used primarily as a display of power by the speaker, usually through mockery. The most common typology of humor according to the speaker meaning is autotelic. It is suggested to continue exploring the phenomenon of palabreo in different contextual conditions.
