En esta investigación se buscó determinar si existía una mayor simplificación en el doblaje al español latinoamericano del primer capítulo de la serie de Netflix Barbie Dreamhouse Adventure (2018) comparado con el subtitulaje al español de la misma, teniendo al público infantil como destinatario. Con este propósito se efectuó un análisis de corpus comparativo con un enfoque cualitativo de alcance descriptivo. El corpus revisado se clasifica en la categoría Todos (recomendada para todos los públicos) de la plataforma Netflix. Tras el análisis de los resultados obtenidos se concluyó que existe un mayor uso de simplificación en el doblaje al compararlo con el subtitulaje, debido a que en el doblaje se utilizaron en mayor cantidad tres técnicas pertenecientes a la simplificación. Si bien, se encontró una mayor cantidad de entradas numéricas en el subtitulado debido a la elisión, esto se atribuye a restricciones propias de los subtítulos y no a la simplificación.
This research sought to determine whether there is a greater use of simplification in the Latin American Spanish dubbing of the first episode of the Netflix series Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures (2018) compared to its Spanish subtitles, considering young audience as the recipient. A comparative corpus analysis was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach. The corpus reviewed was categorized as TV-G (suitable for general audience) on the Netflix platform. Upon analyzing the results, it was concluded that there is a higher degree of simplification in dubbing when compared to subtitling. This due to the more frequent use of three simplification techniques in the dubbing. While a greater number of numerical entries were found in the subtitles due to ellipsis, this was attributed to subtitle constraints rather than simplification.
