    Jerarquización de activos y elaboración de planes de mantenimiento a equipos mecánicos críticos.

    This project is carried out at Cargill, located in Coronel, Chile, with the aim of designing a maintenance program for critical equipment involved in the production process of salmon feed pellets. The study emerged from the maintenance department's need to optimize resources and enhance efficiency and productivity in maintenance management. The project consists of several stages. Firstly, an analysis of the current maintenance department is conducted to understand the processes, machinery involved, and the existing maintenance management system. Technical information regarding the equipment installed in the industrial plant is then gathered, updating a technical inventory of the installed units, and organizing them according to the taxonomy levels specified in standard ISO 14.224, which establishes a basis for the collection and exchange of reliability and maintenance data of equipment [1]. Next, a qualitative criticality analysis methodology based on risk is applied to prioritize the units according to their failure probability and the impact of their breakdown on production, quality, maintenance, safety, and the environment. The analysis evaluates both mandatory equipment designated by the company and level 6 equipment previously defined in the taxonomy ranking. The results reveal the presence of 8 critical equipment, 159 equipment with medium criticality, and 629 equipment with low criticality within the Cargill Coronel plant. To develop maintenance plans, prioritization is crucial, and therefore, plans are created first for the most critical equipment. Due to the lack of historical data in the company's records, the plans are developed based on manufacturer instructions, legislative requirements, and the maintenance policies mandated by the company. The findings of this project provide valuable insights into the maintenance optimization process for critical equipment in the production of salmon feed pellets. The proposed preventive maintenance program serves as a framework for enhancing maintenance practices, optimizing resource utilization, and ultimately achieving the desired operational objectives in the organization.
