Item Susceptibilidad frente a remociones en masa en la comuna de Hualqui utilizando el modelo frequency ratio: aporte a una planificación territorial sostenible.(Universidad de Concepción, 2024) Pino Huerta, Felipe Antonio; Jaque Castillo, Edilia del Carmen; Castro V., FranciscoThe study of susceptibility to landslides processes (PRM) in Chile is essential to improve disaster risk management through territorial planning based on a methodologically sound assessment. This applied research is proposed for Hualqui, located in the western zone of the Coastal Cordillera in the province of Concepción, Bíobío region, Chile. A multitemporal inventory of landslides in the study area was carried out, spanning from 1990 to 2023, using a variety of sources such as local press records, satellite images, social networks and field work. A total of 83 events were identified throughout the study area using these sources, with a notable concentration in the central-northern zone, especially in sectors such as Maqueuto and near the Biobío riverbank. This inventory was used to generate a susceptibility chart in a Geographic Information System (GIS), using the frequency ratio model. This was done by means of 8 layers of information on physical-natural parameters that influence PRM triggering. The most influential parameters according to the model used were lithology, with a value or weight of 3.05; landform, with 2.92; and slope with 2.24. To validate the model, the area under the curve ROC was used, obtaining an accuracy of 87%, corresponding to "very good" and a prediction rate of 73%, indicating a "good" quality of the model. The final susceptibility map revealed sectors of high and very high susceptibility in the study area, such as Agua corta, Agua larga, Las Totoritas, El Carmen, San Onofre, Maqueuto, Periquillo, Placilla, Llepinhue, Las Lagunillas, Las Higueras. It is recommended that these areas be considered as restricted for construction. It is hoped that this study and the tools provided will be considered by the local government, as it previously lacked inventories and DRP susceptibility charts. The methodology used and the results obtained can be very useful for the development of disaster prevention and mitigation strategies in the study area, as well as to have a basis for further development and expansion over time.
