Item Diseño y detallamiento de casa modular de acero.(Universidad de Concepción, 2024) Schramm Neira, Oliver Marcelo; Silva Muñoz, Rodrigo Antonio; Fariñe P., Carlos; Valenzuela R., IvetteFacop LTD company specializes in the manufacturing of steel industrial structures. It develops solutions through engineering for structural modeling, connection calculations, Building Information Modeling (BIM), as well as the development of detailed structural documentation. These activities are carried out in the manufacturing workshop under the direction of the operations manager. Given the aforementioned capabilities and the advantages of having skilled labor, specialized machinery, and market knowledge acquired from fabricating over 8,000 Tons of steel structures, the idea arose to capitalize on these resources and implement a new business line, to be developed during periods of low manufacturing demand. Within this context, a dimensional pre-design is conducted for a single-family home, following by structural modeling based on a tentative profile for the final design, complying with current regulations in Chile. The objective is to verify the main structural profiles, design purlines, connections, base plates, foundations, and fire resistance protection schemes. To carry out these designs, it was use a structural model inputting the respective project loads to extract the solicitations necessary for final elements dimensioning. Finally, a detailed engineering was employed to develop a BIM model for the preparation of manufacturing and assembly plans, facilitating the construction of the house.
