| dc.description.abstract | The Fourth Industrial Revolution has brought about significant changes in the management and analysis of spatial data, driving the transformation of Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) into a Spatial Knowledge Infrastructure (SKI). This transformation requires integrating and addressing four key areas: exchange, versatility, process, and usability. In this study, an analysis of usability was conducted as a fundamental element for this transformation, focusing on the SDI geoportals of Chile and the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAGRI SDI). Usability tests were conducted using a methodology based on checklist, focusing on three categories: user interface, search function, and map viewer. The results highlighted the need for improvements in the Chilean SDI, while the MINAGRI SDI showed acceptable performance. However, overall, there was no significant advancement towards SKI in terms of usability. Addressing this challenge will require greater attention and effort in adapting the functionalities of SDI geoportals to ensure they meet the requirements for advancing towards SKI. | en |
