Abstract
Caleta Lenga con el pasar de los años se ha convertido en un referente del turismo gastronómico y ha sido reconocida como tal, teniendo la capacidad de atraer gran cantidad de turistas provenientes tanto de comunas cercanas, como también de otras regiones. La misma población residente en ella, como la propia municipalidad han asumido el desafío y lo han hecho propio, dando un giro importante en lo que respecta a la economía presente en caleta Lenga, donde ha pasado de ser una caleta de pescadores aun polo turístico enfocado a la gastronomía donde la especialidad son los productos marinos. No obstante este cambio radical de su economía, en el intento de elevar el nivel adquisitivo de los propios pobladores ha generado una escasa diversificación económica y turística, donde actualmente no existe una infraestructura y una planta turística enfocada a otorgar más diversidad turística. Además no existe una conexión con los diversos atractivos turísticos presentes en la península de Hualpén donde las vías de acceso son privadas o están en malas condiciones para el tránsito de los potenciales turistas. Esta investigación está enfocada a realizar un diagnostico turístico y analizar su potencial turístico donde se analizan las principales problemáticas y oportunidades que posee caleta Lenga.
Caleta Lenga with the passing of the years has become a benchmark of gastronomic tourism and has been recognized as having the ability to attract large numbers of tourists from both nearby communities, as well as other regions. The same people living in it, as the municipality itself has taken on the challenge and made their own, giving a significant shift in terms of the economy present in Lenga creek, which has grown from a fishing village still focused tourist destination to gastronomy where the specialty is seafood. Despite this radical change in the economy, in the attempt to raise the purchasing power of the people themselves has generated little economic diversification and tourism, where there is currently no infrastructure and tourist facilities aimed at giving more diversity of tourism. Furthermore there is no connection with the present attractions Hualpén peninsula where access roads are private or are in poor conditions for transition of potential tourists. This research is focused to make a diagnosis and discuss its potential tourist resort where we analyze the key issues and opportunities has Lenga creek.
