Abstract
La enfermedad infecciosa causada por Mycobacterium tuberculosis, llamada tuberculosis, sigue siendo un problema de salud mundial que no se ha podido erradicar. La situación actual de la pandemia por Sars-Cov-2 amenaza con retrasar las metas que se han establecido a nivel global para eliminar esta enfermedad. El presente trabajo analiza si existe un aumento en la incidencia de tuberculosis y tuberculosis multidrogoresistente causada por el Complejo Mycobacterium tuberculosis en pacientes atendidos en el Servicio de Salud Concepción durante el último quinquenio 2016-2020.Para ello se realizó una revisión bibliográfica que incluyó los puntos más relevantes de la situación de la tuberculosis a nivel global y se analizó la situación local del Servicio de Salud Concepción en los últimos cinco años. Los resultados muestran que hay un aumento en el número de casos de tuberculosis y tuberculosis multidrogoresistente hasta el año 2019, mismo año donde se produce una disminución del 22% en la notificación de nuevos casos. Por tanto, resulta fundamental reforzar el diagnóstico y la pesquisa de la Tuberculosis en un contexto dado por la pandemia vigente.
The infectious disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis, called Tuberculosis, is still a global health issue that has not been eradicated yet. The current pandemic by Sars-Cov-2 threatens to delay the goals that were stablished globally to eliminate this disease. The present work analyses if there is an increasing number in the incidence of tuberculosis and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis Complex in patients seen at the Servicio de Salud Concepción during the last five-year period 2016-2020. A bibliographical review was carried out that included the most relevant aspects of the global tuberculosis situation, and the local situation of the last five years at the Servicio de Salud Concepción was analyzed. The results show that there is a rise in the number of cases of tuberculosis and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis until 2019, the same year where was produced a 22% decrease in the report of new cases. Therefore, it is crucial to reinforce the diagnosis and investigation of Tuberculosis in the context of the current pandemic.
