| dc.description.abstract | La presente memoria de titulación presenta la formalización de una Metodología para la evaluación de trazados alternativos para buses de Transporte Público, por la necesidad de un estudio técnico formal para describir la demanda potencial de un nuevo servicio, junto con las características que debiese tener, los costos y beneficios sociales de su implementación. El objetivo principal del estudio es una metodología que describa la densidad de demanda de un sector en específico y sus principales destinos, para estimar: el volumen de flota, la frecuencia y horarios del servicio para cubrir de la mejor forma esta demanda. Las condiciones de borde presentadas en la investigación, por los sectores público y privado, es la limitación de recursos, en específico tiempo, por lo que esta nueva metodología propone una mejora en la eficiencia de recursos sin perder precisión en la identificación de aspectos claves. Se propone una metodología de evaluación integral, con un diagnóstico del sistema actual, sus características y el contexto de la población objetivo seguido de levantamiento de información con: encuesta de percepción del servicio. Diseño y planificación de una alternativa al trazado original, para reducir las deficiencias planteadas anteriormente. Finalmente, se incluye una prueba de factibilidad, con foco en la evaluación económica y social, calculando el VAN privado y social además, de análisis de sensibilidad a cambios en variables. Para demostrar la posible implementación, se aplicó la metodología al caso del sector Borde Cerro, Chiguayante. El procedimiento comienza con la descripción del contexto actual del sistema en el sector y las características demográficas de la población luego, se realizó el levantamiento de información por medio de aplicación de la encuesta de Viaje Más Frecuente desarrollada por el equipo de Mo2, plataforma digital para la recolección de datos. Este levantamiento, identificó cinco puntos claves en la ciudad donde el servicio vigente no cubría. Se diseñó y planificó un trazado alternativo para cubrir estos destinos y mejorar la calidad del sistema. A este servicio alternativo se evalúo sostenibilidad económica estimando, el flujo de caja futuro y calculando, el VAN de este, determinando, que el proyecto no es sostenible (VAN<0) soló con una inversión privada es necesario un nivel de aporte público y se estimó el nivel de este por medio de un análisis de sensibilidad junto con la variación de otras variables de interés y concluyendo que el nivel de subsidio debe ser al menos de M$500 y que el proyecto es muy sensible al ingreso por tarifa. | es |
| dc.description.abstract | text shows a formalization of a way to test alternative bus route for the Public Transport system, this born to a need for technical research to describe the potential demand of a new service, that with the features of what should have, and social benefits and cost of his implementation. The main goal of this research was to describe the demand density of a specific zone and its main destinations, to: estimate volume of fleet, frequency and the schedule of service may cover in the best way possible. Under the edge conditions that were presented in the research was the limit of resources mainly short times, that is why this methodology should present an improvement of use of these resources, without lost precision on the identification of key aspects. Consisting of a diagnostic of the current system knowing its aspects and the context of the objective population, then a survey that should be useful to define the main worries of the users, deficits of the system or the perception of the service. An important part of the evaluation is the design and planning of the new bus route that should fix deficits that were planted before or improve the actual system as cover zones that weren’t on the currents services. Finally, this paper includes a sustainability test, focusing on economic evaluation calculating the NPV, also testing the sensibility of this sustainability according to some variables as the level of demand, OPEX or pricing. To prove the methodology, it was applied to the real case of Borde Cerro’s sector in municipality of Chiguayante. This procedure starts with knowing which is the context of the system and the demographic aspects of the people there, then applying a survey conducted by the team of Mo2. The result shows that five main points in the city weren’t covered by the current bus service, with high demand. With that need we design and plan an alternative that should cover it and improve the system quality. This bus service tested its economic sustainability, estimating all the cost’s structure and the incomes to calculate the NPV of the project, and this alternative was not sustainable only with the private investment (NPV<0) so is needed a public input, the level of it were tested by a sensitivity analysis, with a comparative with the variation of other aspects, as result the level of this input was of M$500.00 (CLP) and the project is too sensitive to the tariff income. | en |
