Abstract
El contenido multimedia de entretención ha presentado un crecimiento exponencial con el paso de los años y la globalización lo ha masificado, lo que se ve especialmente reflejado en la velocidad de propagación del contenido en distintos idiomas en las plataformas de streaming. Debido a esto, la traducción audiovisual ha cobrado extrema relevancia, área de la traducción especializada en traspasar el contenido de audio y video de una obra desde la versión original a una lengua meta; frecuentemente a través de subdisciplinas como lo son el doblaje y la subtitulación. El trabajo traductológico aumenta en complejidad cuando la trama de dichas obras audiovisuales está acompañada y desarrollada a través de canciones, las cuales también deben ser traducidas. Este estudio busca analizar las técnicas de traducción propuestas por Hurtado y Molina (2002) presentes en el doblaje a las variantes de español latinoamericano e ibérico de dos canciones de la serie estadounidense Hazbin Hotel. Para ello, se identificaron las técnicas de traducción más utilizadas en la traducción al doblaje de dichas canciones, se compararon las dos versiones dobladas y finalmente se establecieron las frecuencias en las que ocurrieron las técnicas de traducción identificadas. Con la información recopilada se elaboraron tablas que facilitaron su cuantificación. Una vez analizados los resultados, se constató una tendencia a la utilización de las técnicas de creación discursiva, traducción literal y elisión en las dos canciones estudiadas, tanto en la variante del doblaje ibérico como en la variante latinoamericana.
Multimedia entertainment content has presented an exponential growth within the last few years, and it has massified due to globalization. This is especially reflected in the speed of propagation of content in different languages on streaming platforms. Due to this, audiovisual translation has gained fundamental relevance, being an area specialized in the transmission of audio and video of a product from the original version to a second language, frequently through disciplines such as dubbing and subtitling. Translation becomes even more difficult when the plotline of said audiovisual products is pushed forward and accompanied by songs, which must be translated as well. This study analyzes the translation techniques proposed by Hurtado & Molina (2002) seen in the dubbing of two songs from the American series Hazbin Hotel into European Spanish and Latin American Spanish. To do so, the most utilized techniques in the dubbing of said songs were identified, both versions were compared, and after that the frequencies of the identified translation techniques were established. With the information obtained, tables were created to facilitate their quantification. Once the results were analyzed, a trend on the usage of discursive creation, literal translation and reduction in both songs was studied, both in European Spanish and Latin American Spanish.
