Abstract
Esta investigación tuvo como fin comprender la relación de la movilidad de las personas y los patrones de alimentación en el Área Metropolitana del Gran Concepción (en adelante AMC). Enfocada en la proximidad de las personas hacia los supermercados y ferias libres mediante el modo de transporte que utilizan; transporte motorizado colectivo, motorizado privado y no motorizado. Además, pretendió analizar el propósito de los viajes realizados por cada individuo encuestado, lo que se pudo obtener a través de la aplicación de la encuesta “Origen Destino”, por parte de la Secretaría de Planificación de Transporte (SECTRA). Finalmente este estudio identificó la existencia de desiertos alimenticios en el territorio y los lugares donde se concentra más y menos proximidad a estos establecimientos de venta de comida, y el área de influencia que tienen ellos hacia la población, evidenciando la segregación alimenticia en el AMC.
This research was aimed at understanding the relationship of people's mobility and eating patterns in the Greater Concepción Metropolitan Area (hereinafter AMC). Focused on the proximity of people to supermarkets and free fairs through the mode of transport they use; collective motorized transport, private and non-motorized motorized. In addition, it sought to analyze the purpose of the trips made by each individual surveyed, which could be obtained through the application of the “Destination Origin” survey, by the Ministry of Transportation Planning (SECTRA). Finally, this study identified the existence of food deserts in the territory and places where there is more and less proximity to these establishments selling food, and the area of influence they have towards the population, evidencing food segregation in the AMC.
