Abstract
El Área Metropolitana del Gran Concepción (AMC), que actualmente comprende una extensión de 11 comunas, se encuentra en un proceso de formulación de Plan Regulador Metropolitano, marco rector para el crecimiento del área metropolitana, con énfasis puesto en temas de movilidad y sustentabilidad. Ante la mejora en las condiciones de este último aspecto en la comuna de Coronel, gracias a la llegada a la ciudad del servicio Biotrén, es importante realizar una evaluación de las condiciones en que los usuarios de este servicio acceden a el, desde sus manzanas de residencia hacia las estaciones de tren presentes en la ciudad, a través de la revisión de una serie de criterios e indicadores que ayuden a determinar el nivel de accesibilidad que estas poseen en relación a su entorno. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo es determinar la magnitud de la accesibilidad de estas estaciones , a través de distintas medidas observadas y procesadas mediante la integración de Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG), obteniendo resultados favorables en cuanto a la localización de estas estaciones, con buenas condiciones tanto del sistema de transportes utilizado para alcanzar estas instalaciones como de ocupación del suelo en los alrededores de estas estaciones.
The Metropolitan Area of Greater Concepción (AMC, by its spanish name), which currently covers an area of 11 communes, is in a process of formulating Metropolitan Regulatory Plan, rector for the growth of metropolitan framework, with emphasis on issues of mobility and sustainability. Given the improvement in the conditions of the latter in the town of Coronel, thanks to the arrival in the city of Biotrén service, it is important to evaluate the conditions in which users of this service access to the, from their residence blocks to train stations present in the city, through the review of a number of criteria and indicators that help determine the level of accessibility that these have in relation to their environment. Therefore, the objective of this study is to determine the extent of the accessibility of these stations through different observed meassures and processed through the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), obtaining favorable results regarding the location of these stations, with good conditions both of the transport system used to reach these facilities as land use around these stations.
