Abstract
Dairy production in Chile is characterized by having very heterogeneous systems, which depend on the intervention of different factors, where only some of these can be modified in order to influence production. This is how the information obtained in different studies can generate an information base by sector that allows the implementation of strategies to improve those aspects with the greatest incidence in the dairy industry. These improvements could favor the dairy producer, since it will provide tools to better face the uncertain national and international dairy markets, allowing better levels of technical and economic efficiency to be achieved. A visit was made to three farms located in different agroecological zones of the Ñuble Region, to apply a survey that allowed obtaining the necessary information to characterize and determine production parameters in each of the farms. Observing that the influencing factors are different in each farm, but even so, they present productions close to the average stipulated by the Dairy Consortium and that reproductive management presented problems at the time of conducting the survey in the three farms studied.
