Abstract
The salmon industry is one of the most important exporters in Chile, in addition to this we have that its development is linked to territories which have the right conditions for the development of the same, in this sense is that the Aysén region is a favorite place, for its fjords and canals, coupled with its temperatures. In this context, the fish farm Emperador Guillermo opened its doors in the rural town of Villa Ortega, generating jobs and seeking to expand the productive capacities of the region. But the ISA crisis and subsequent crises have increased distrust and thus decreased investment. This resulted in the closure of this fish farm and an uncertain scenario for those who depended on it as a source of work.
