Abstract
En el año 1996 mediante un convenio entre municipios rurales de Chile y el Instituto de Desarrollo Agropecuario nace el Programa de Desarrollo Local (PRODESAL) centrado en mejorar la calidad de vida de agricultores familiares campesinos (AFC), fomentando el autoconsumo y la producción para el mercado. La AFC es hoy un pilar en la vida campesina de Chile y mediante PRODESAL esta ha logrado modernizarse y mejorar su calidad de vida. El objetivo del estudio fue conocer el nivel de conocimiento de instrumentos estatales aplicados a usuarios PRODESAL. Un grupo de 18 asesores PRODESAL, se entrevistaron y encuestaron con el fin de evaluar el nivel de uso y conocimientos de los instrumentos estatales. En Arauco de 60 instrumentos encuestados el 50 % eran conocidos, y en Yumbel el nivel alcanzó un 47 %. Los instrumentos más conocidos fueron los pertenecientes a INDAP. La información obtenida permitió confirmar un desconocimiento de instrumentos y lo poco utilizados que son algunos, como además la deficiente bajada de información por parte de INDAP a asesores.
In 1996, due to an agreement between the rural municipalities from Chile and the Agricultural Development Institute was a born the Local Development Program (PRODESAL) which focus was to improve the life of family countryside farmers (AFC) promoting the self-consume and production for the market. The AFC is nowadays a fundamental support for the countryside life of the country of Chile and through PRODESAL it has modernize and improve its life quality. The study objective was to know the level of knowledge of the state instruments applied to PRODESAL users. A group of 18 advisors were interviewed and surveyed in order to evaluate the level of use and knowledge of the state instruments. In Arauco, from 60 instruments surveyed, 50 % were known; Besides, in Yumbel the level reached a 47 % percent. The best-known instruments were those belonging to INDAP. The information obtained confirmed the lack of knowledge of instruments and the little use of some others, as well as the deficiency of the information descent by INDAP advisors.
