Abstract
Consecuencia del cambio climático se ha experimentado un aumento de los incendios estivales, lo cual afecta la calidad de los suelos. Como propuesta de recuperación de la calidad de estos, se plantea la incorporación de compost y rotaciones con praderas de mediana y larga duración. Por esta razón, se estableció un experimento de campo cuyo objetivo fue evaluar los efectos de la incorporación de compost en el desarrollo y crecimiento vegetativo de la pradera de ballica perenne. El experimento consideró un diseño de bloques completamente al azar, compuesto de cuatro tratamientos cuyas dosis de compost fueron: 2 t ha-1, 4 t ha-1, 8 t ha-1 y un control (sin aplicación), considerándose tres repeticiones por tratamiento. El diseño experimental correspondió a doce parcelas de 1 m2 de suelo. Estas fueron sembradas con ballica perenne en dosis de 25 kg ha-1 de semillas. Las evaluaciones fueron altura no disturbada (cm), nivel de clorofila (unidades SPAD) y producción de materia seca (g de materia seca). Los tratamientos con aplicación de compost presentaron valores mayores al tratamiento control, resultando el tratamiento de 8 t ha-1 de aplicación significativamente mayor (p > 0,05) en los parámetros de altura no disturbada, nivel de clorofila y producción de materia seca. Se demuestra que existe una correlación significativa entre nivel de SPAD y producción de materia seca.
As a result of climate change, there has been an increase in summer fires, which affects the quality of the soil. A proposal to recover their quality is the incorporation of compost and rotations with medium and long-term meadows. For this reason, a field experiment was established whose objective was to evaluate the effects of the incorporation of compost on the development and vegetative growth of the perennial ryegrass meadow. The experiment considered a completely randomized block design, composed of four treatments whose doses of compost were: 2 t ha-1, 4 t ha1, 8 t ha-1 and a control (without application), considering three repetitions per treatment. The experimental design corresponded to twelve plots of 1 m2 of soil. These were sown with perennial ryegrass in doses of 25 kg ha-1 of seeds. The evaluations were undisturbed height (cm), chlorophyll level (SPAD units) and dry matter production (g of dry matter). The treatments with compost application presented higher values than the control treatment, with the treatment of 8 t ha-1 of application resulting in significantly higher (p > 0.05) in the parameters of undisturbed height, chlorophyll level and dry matter production. It is shown that there is a significant correlation between SPAD level and dry matter production.
