Abstract
The main purpose of this research was to analyze the context of labor inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) grade 1 and 2 according to agents related to this group and owners of micro, small and medium-sized businesses in the city of Los Angeles, Chile. The methodology used was qualitative, under an interpretive paradigm and of a synchronous transversal nature. We worked with an intentional or non probabilistic convenience sample, where 1 representative of the chamber of commerce, 5 differential teachers inserted in a labor workshop and 8 owners of micro and small businesses from the City of Los Angeles, Chile were considered. The data was collected through in-depth interviews, accompanied by audio recording and a subsequent transcription and then analyzed through content and thematic analysis. Finally, it was evident that within the context of micro and small businesses, the labor inclusion of people with ASD is limited due to lack of knowledge, social and environmental barriers. Furthermore, it was concluded that having a job not only represents a source of economic support, but also plays a fundamental role in people's quality of life.
