Abstract
El presente trabajo abarca el diseño y desarrollo de una aplicación móvil de apoyo para adolescentes con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA), con el objetivo de proveer una herramienta terapéutica ajustada al contexto nacional. La aplicación fue desarrollada para el sistema operativo Android, utilizando el lenguaje de programación Kotlin y el framework Jetpack Compose, priorizando criterios de diseño inclusivo, simplicidad visual y facilidad de uso. El proceso de desarrollo se estructuró en distintas etapas, comenzando con un prototipado inicial orientado a la exploración de las funciones de navegación, visualización de contenido y generación de imágenes mediante inteligencia artificial generativa. Posteriormente, y a partir de la realización de focus groups, se redefinieron tanto el formato de las historietas como las funcionalidades principales de la aplicación, incorporando mejoras en la estructura del contenido, la navegación dinámica y la experiencia de lectura. La generación de imágenes se realizó mediante técnicas de prompt engineering, evaluando distintas herramientas de inteligencia artificial con el objetivo de obtener coherencia visual, continuidad narrativa y adecuación al público objetivo. Como resultado de este proceso, se definió un flujo de trabajo que permitió integrar historietas sociales consistentes dentro de la aplicación. Finalmente, la aplicación fue validada utilizando el modelo de calidad ISO 25010, complementado con métricas de las normas ISO 25020, 25022 y 25023. Los resultados de la validación evidencian un alto nivel de cumplimiento en las características evaluadas, destacando especialmente la funcionalidad, usabilidad, performance y fiabilidad del sistema. A pesar de las limitaciones asociadas al tamaño del grupo evaluador, los resultados obtenidos permiten concluir que la aplicación presenta un comportamiento estable, accesible y alineado con los objetivos planteados, sentando las bases para futuras mejoras y ampliaciones.
This work addresses the design and development of a mobile support application for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), with the aim of providing a therapeutic tool adapted to the national context. The application was developed for the Android operating system, using the Kotlin programming language and the Jetpack Compose framework, prioritizing inclusive design principles, visual simplicity, and ease of use. The development process was structured into several stages, beginning with an initial prototyping phase focused on exploring navigation functions, content visualization, and image generation through generative artificial intelligence. Subsequently, based on the results of focus groups, both the format of the social stories and the main functionalities of the application were redefined, incorporating improvements in content structure, dynamic navigation, and the overall reading experience. Image generation was carried out using prompt engineering techniques, evaluating different artificial intelligence tools with the objective of achieving visual coherence, narrative continuity, and suitability for the target audience. As a result of this process, a workflow was defined that enabled the integration of consistent social stories within the application. Finally, the application was validated using the ISO 25010 quality model, complemented by metrics from the ISO 25020, ISO 25022, and ISO 25023 standards. The validation results demonstrate a high level of compliance with the evaluated quality characteristics, particularly highlighting the system’s functionality, usability, performance, and reliability. Despite the limitations associated with the size of the evaluation group, the results allow us to conclude that the application exhibits stable and accessible behavior aligned with the stated objectives, laying the groundwork for future improvements and extensions
