dc.description.abstractEl presente proyecto de revitalización del Estero Las Toscas en Chillán pretende abordar el declive y la subutilización de este cuerpo de agua, buscando la transformación de su estado actual mediante la iniciativa de un parque fluvial que integre la infraestructura verde como parte fundamental. También se pretende entender la historia del estero y analizar los entes estatales involucrados en la gestión. Se revisaron casos internacionales y nacionales, como el Río Don en Toronto, el Arroyo Cheonggyecheon en Seúl, el Parque La Familia en Santiago y el Rio Manzanar en Madrid, para extraer experiencias en revitalización urbana y restauración de entornos fluviales. Se destaca la importancia del contexto institucional que regula los ecosistemas acuáticos en Chile, evidenciando la complejidad, falta de información y la diversidad de entidades involucrados en la gestión de los cauces naturales. Se plantea un enfoque que busca revitalizar estéticamente el área, mejorar la gestión y coordinación de información entre organismos públicos, y cambiar la arraigada percepción que se tiene sobre el cauce.es
dc.description.abstractThe present revitalization project of Creek the Toscas in Chillán aims to address its decline and underutilization, seeking to transform its current state through the creation of a river park that integrates green infrastructure as a fundamental part. It also seeks to comprehend the estuary’s history and analyze the state entities involved in its management. International and national cases were reviewed, such as the Don River in Toronto, the Cheonggyecheon Stream in Seoul, the La Familia Park in Santiago, and the Manzanar River in Madrid, to extract experiences in urban revitalization and restoration of river environments. The importance of the institutional context regulating aquatic ecosystems in Chile is highlighted, showing the complexity, lack of information, and diversity of actors involved in the management of urban watercourses. On the other hand, the conceptual park design includes pedestrian paths, vegetated areas, and flood prevention measures. It proposes approach that aims to aesthetically revitalize the area, improve the management and coordination of information among public entities, and enhance the ingrained perception of the watercour.en
