dc.description.abstractSe evaluó el efecto de la localización y frecuencia del riego por goteo sobre la producción de fruta de arándano Highbush var. Brigitta (Vaccinium corymbosum L.) en un huerto de siete años desde plantación, en un suelo arenoso de la zona centro-sur de Chile, durante las temporadas 2008-2009 y 2009-2010. Se evaluaron seis tratamientos de localización del agua de riego: dos, cuatro y seis laterales por hilera de plantas regadas cuatro y seis días a la semana desde el 15 de septiembre al 26 de abril en la temporada 2008-2009 y desde el 15 de septiembre hasta fin de cosecha (4 de febrero) en la temporada 2009-2010. Se regó según el patrón establecido por el agricultor, con una cantidad de 532 mm en ambas temporadas para todos los tratamientos. Durante la temporada 2008-2009 el volumen de agua aplicado a través del riego mas la precipitación correspondió al 90% de la evapotranspiración del cultivo (ETc), y en la temporada 2009-2010 (hasta cosecha) fue de un 122% de la ETc. En ambas temporadas los rendimientos más altos se obtuvieron con los tratamientos de cuatro laterales por hilera y seis riegos semanales, superior al rendimiento del tratamiento de dos laterales de riego, que es el utilizado comúnmente en los huertos del país. El porcentaje de fruta con diámetro apto para exportación (> 10 mm) también varió significativamente, siendo más alto en el tratamiento de cuatro laterales, regado cuatro veces a la semana y el menor el tratamiento de dos laterales regado seis veces a la semana.es

dc.description.abstractThe effect of location and frequency of water application under drip irrigation on fruit production of “Brigitta” Highbush Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L.) was evaluated in a seven year old ochard growing in a sandy soil in the south-central zone of Chile, during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons. Six location treatments of irrigation water were assessed: two, four and six laterals per row of plants, irrigated four and six days each week between September 15th and April 26th during the 2008-2009 season, and between September 15th and the end of harvest (February 4th) during the 2009-2010 season. The irrigation was performed according to the pattern established by the grower, with a quantity of 532 mm in both seasons for all treatments. During the 2008-2009 season the volume of water applied through irrigation plus precipitation corresponded to 90% of the estimated crop evapotranspiration (ETc), and in the 2009-2010 season (until harvest) it was 122% of the ETc. In both seasons the highest yields were obtained with four laterals per row irrigated six days each week, obtaining a higher yield than the more commonly used treatment in Chile of two laterals per row (14% higher during the first season and 26% higher during the second). The percent of fruit with a diameter suitable for export (> 10 mm) also varied significantly, with the four laterals per row treatment irrigated four times a week being the highest, and the two laterals per row treatment irrigated six times each week being the lowest.en
