dc.description.abstractEste estudio tiene como objetivo identificar las preferencias de los estudiantes neurodivergentes y neurotípicos en las instituciones educativas Australian Southern College en Los Ángeles y Escuela Nivequetén en Laja, con respecto a los diferentes atributos relacionados con el contenido presentado en la asignatura de inglés con herramientas didácticas contempladas en el Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje (DUA). El presente estudio adopta un enfoque descriptivo con un método cuantitativo, enfocándose en estudiantes de enseñanza básica de 3°, 4° y 5° grado que estén cursando la asignatura de inglés. La fuente de recolección de datos para analizar el fenómeno es de carácter cuantitativo, siendo estas: encuestas aplicadas a estudiantes de ambas instituciones, empleando el modelo Choice Modelling. Esta técnica permite comprender cómo las personas toman decisiones frente a diversas opciones, centrándose en atributos relacionados con el contenido de la asignatura. Los resultados revelan las preferencias en cuanto a imágenes, juegos y multimedia. Las preferencias identificadas incluyen imágenes realistas con fondo y color, el uso de plataformas de juegos como Kahoot y Wordwall con preguntas de selección múltiple, y videos multimedia animados con subtítulos en español. Este estudio sienta las bases para la preparación de material didáctico más personalizado, destacando la importancia de considerar las preferencias estudiantiles en el diseño de estrategias pedagógicas inclusivas. es
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to identify the neurodivergent and neurotypical students’ preferences in the educational institutions Australian Southern College in Los Angeles and Escuela Nivequetén in Laja, regarding the different attributes related to the content presented in the English subject with didactic tools contemplated in the Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The present study takes a descriptive approach with a quantitative method, focusing on 3rd, 4th and 5th grade elementary school students taking the subject of English. The source of data collection to analyze the phenomenon is quantitative: surveys applied to students from both institutions, using Choice Modelling. This technique allows understanding how people make decisions in the presence of various options, focusing on attributes related to the content of the subject. The results reveal preferences for images, games, and multimedia. Preferences identified include realistic images with background and color, the use of gaming platforms such as Kahoot and Wordwall with multiple choice questions, and animated multimedia videos with Spanish subtitules. This study provides the basis for the preparation of more personalized teaching materials, emphasizing the importance of considering student preferences in the design of inclusive pedagogical strategies.en
