dc.description.abstractEl estudio se desarrolló durante la temporada diciembre 2003 - agosto 2004, en el marco del proyecto FONDEF D02I – 1146. Su objetivo fue analizar los efectos de dos dosis de fertilizante y cuatro niveles diferenciales de aplicación de agua en el potencial del agua en el suelo y la planta, la producción y calidad del fruto de paltos (Persea american Mill.) cv. Hass de 5 años, regados por microjet, ubicado en el huerto Los Molinos, valle de Peumo, VI región. Se empleó un diseño experimental de parcelas divididas con asignación en bloques completo aleatorio para dos niveles de fertilización: normal (correspondiente a un nivel técnico con las dosis recomendadas) y extra (con una aplicación 100% mayor a lo recomendado), y cuatro niveles de reposición de agua de riego: 40, 60, 80 y 100% del volumen de agua teórico requerido por la planta (Vtr). Adicionalmente, se establecieron parcelas con fertilización normal y 80% de reposición de agua para tres niveles de distancia de localización del emisor desde el tronco del árbol (40, 60 y 100 cm), con el objetivo de analizar su efecto en la producción.es
dc.description.abstractThe study was carried out during the December 2003 - August 2004 season, within the framework of project FONDEF D0Ì - 1146. Its objective was to analyze the effects of two doses of fertilizer and four differentials levels of irrigation on the soil and plant water potential, the production and quality of the avocado fruit (Persea american Mill.) cv. Hass of 5 years, irrigated by microjet, located in the Mills farm, valley of Peumo, sixth region. An experimental design of split- plot with allocation in completely randomized blocks with two levels of fertilization was used: normal fertilization (corresponding to a technical level with the recommended doses) and extra (with a 100% application over the recommended), and four levels of irrigation water replacement: 40, 60, 80 and 100% of the theoretical water volume required by the plant (Vtr). Additionally, an experiment with plots with normal fertilization and 80% of water replacement was established with three distances of emitter location from the tree trunk (40, 60 and 100 cm), in order to analyze their effect on production. It was concluded that the soil matrix potential, before the irrigation, showed only a small decrease and variation between 10 to 30 cm depth, situation that is attributed to the greater presence of active roots, regardless of dose of fertilizer or irrigation levels. Also, there were not differences of the plant water potential for dose of fertilization and levels of water application. The production did not show significant differences for the doses of fertilizer application and the levels water applied. With dose of extra fertilization and 80% Vtr level of application, equatorial diameter (5.9 cm) and oil content (16,13%) was greater.
