Abstract
The test was carried out at the Universidad de Concepción campus Chillán, commune of Chillán, XVI Region of Chile, during the 2018-2019 season. The objective was to compare the effect of mycorrhizae on corn production under four levels of central pivot irrigation. The study area is 1,574 m2 corn, divided into two zones, one with an area of 705 m2 without the presence of mycorrhizae and another of 856 m2 with the presence of a consortium of 4 strains of live mycorrhizal fungi (Glamus intraradices, Glomus aggregatum, Glomus mosseae, Glomus etunicatum). The results obtained show that at each irrigation level there is no significant difference in grain production. However, it is observed that, under water stress, the crop with the presence of mycorrhizae obtained a lower reduction in production. Regarding the plant's adventitious root mass, T2, T4, T6 and T8 treatments obtained higher masses on average. In the length of the main ear, the treatments T2, T4 and T8 obtained in average more length. NDVI data show that between T1 and T2 treatments, T2 presents higher values. Between the T7 and T8 treatments, they do not show a notorious difference in the NDVI values. The reduction in water application in the plant negatively affects production, regardless of the use of mycorrhiza.
