Abstract
El presente trabajo evaluó la factibilidad del Liceo Polivalente San Nicolás, establecimiento educacional de la Región de Ñuble, de postular a algún nivel de Certificación del programa creado por el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente conocido como Sistema Nacional de Certificación Ambiental de Establecimientos Educacionales (SNCAE). Para dicho trabajo se hizo una caracterización del caso de estudio; luego se evaluaron prácticas ambientales en el establecimiento educacional y, por último, se elaboró una propuesta de mejoramiento de gestión ambiental en los aspectos deficientes. Del estudio se obtuvo que el establecimiento no realiza prácticas ambientales, de acuerdo a información entregada por los directivos, esto debido a falta de interés por parte de la institución, la cual fue corroborada con los resultados de la aplicación de la matriz de diagnóstico del SNCAE, que dejaba al Liceo fuera de cualquier nivel de postulación. Por lo mismo, se propone una mejora de gestión ambiental, lo que en el caso de aplicarse le permitiría postular al menos al nivel básico de certificación. Para dicha mejora se consideraron actividades que se realizan en el establecimiento en las cuales se pueden integrar 2 aspectos ambientales; y también, considerando el hecho de que San Nicolás se declaró comuna agroecológica, cuyo objetivo es conseguir un desarrollo comunal basado en la sustentabilidad.
The present work evaluated the feasibility of the San Nicolás Polyvalent High School, educational establishment of the Ñuble Region, to apply for some level of Certification of the program created by the Ministry of the Environment known as the National System of Environmental Certification of Educational Establishments (SNCAE). For this work, a characterization of the case study was made; then environmental practices were evaluated in the educational establishment and, finally, a proposal was made to improve environmental management in the deficient aspects. The study became the work was not performed the work became an information agreement between the leaders, this is due to a lack of interest on the part of the institution, which was corroborated with the results of the application of the matrix of the SNCAE, which you left beside any level of application. For this reason, an improvement in environmental management is proposed, which, if applied, would allow it to apply at least to the basic level of certification. For this improvement, activities carried out in the establishment in which environmental aspects can be integrated were considered; and also, considering the fact that San Nicolás was declared an agroecological commune, whose objective is to achieve community development based on sustainability.
