Abstract
This study focuses on evaluating the signal quality and performance of Entel's LTE network on the campus of the University of Concepción, considering how these aspects vary under different spatial and temporal conditions. Field measurements were conducted along three routes and at three times of the day (morning, midday, and afternoon), recording parameters such as RSRP, RSRQ, RSSI, CQI, download and upload speeds, latency, jitter, PCI, Cell ID, altitude, and geographic coordinates. The data were processed using tools such as MATLAB and Python, applying techniques including descriptive statistics, boxplots, heatmaps, correlation and regression analysis, as well as dimensionality reduction through PCA and clustering with K-means. The results reveal clear differences between routes and time slots, identifying critical areas with low performance, which are attributed to topographic factors and temporal variability. This analysis provides a solid foundation for future improvements in mobile network planning in university environments.
