Abstract
This study evaluates the operation o fan underground irrigation system for a lawn based upon an exudating pipeline of the textile type. In order to carry out the evaluation the system’s application uniformity was analyzed, according to the soil moisture content at the roots level. A Christiansen’s Uniformity Coefficient over 93% was obtained during the first operational season of the exudant pipeline. The discharge curve of a brand new textile type exudante pipeline was determined; a discharge range of 5,6 to 46 L h-1 m-1, for pressures of 0,2 to 1,0 bar was obtained. At the end of a season of operation of this underground pipeline the discharge tests were repeated; a discharge range of 0,98 to 18,52 L h-1 m1was established; this smaller discharge rate is explained by the obturation of the pipeline by grass roots.
