Abstract
In the context of the advancement of imaging development in the infrared spectrum and the science of colorimetry, the opportunity to take advantage of the properties of SWIR, through colorimetry, was identified. In this report for the Title Report “Development of a colorimetry model in the SWIR” colorimetry would be studied in depth, where an attempt will be made to obtain a model to achieve color in the SWIR, thus taking advantage of the characteristics of this spectrum, such as vision in foggy conditions, vision of the contents of containers of some materials, analysis of the state of agriculture, among others. To address this research, first each colorimetry concept will be exhaustively studied, where an optical set-up will then be set up to obtain images in the studied spectrum. With this, different experiments will be carried out, analyzing and processing these images. As a result, it was possible to develop a colorimetry model in the SWIR, which made it possible to reconstruct, from monochromatic images in the SWIR, color images through Additive Color Synthesis, thus obtaining outstanding Colorimetry and Infrared properties. The images obtained corresponded to elements whose reflectance in the SWIR differs from the VIS range, whose color was obtained from the chromaticity diagram calculated for the designed optical system. What is presented in this work and its results show a methodological advance in the evolution of obtaining color images from infrared images.
