Item Determinación del comportamiento del flujo base y su relación con variables de estado hidrológicas en la cuenca del río Diguillín, región del Bíobío, Chile.(Universidad de Concepción., 2014) Morales Calderón, Carolina Magdalena; Arumi Ribera, José Luis; supervisor de gradoEl estudio que se presenta a continuación, tiene como objetivo establecer el comportamiento de los sistemas de almacenamiento y liberación de agua subterránea y su relación con otras variables de estado hidrológicas, en la cuenca del rio Diguillín, ubicada en la región del Biobío, Chile. Se consideró un total de 2 estaciones fluviométricas y 8 estaciones pluviográficas, de las que se seleccionó un periodo de 10 años comprendido entre 1999 y 2008. En primer lugar, en base a caudales horarios del periodo completo, se identificaron los hidrogramas, los que fueron separados en su componente subterráneo y superficial. Paralelamente se estimó la precipitación areal mensual, a través de polígonos de Thiessen, para luego calcular valores mensuales de volumen de agua subterránea, coeficiente de escorrentía, caudal y precipitaciones. Posteriormente se analizó el comportamiento temporal de las variables de interés a saber, escorrentía directa, coeficiente de escorrentía, precipitación mensual areal, caudal medio mensual y volumen de reservas y su influencia en el volumen de agua subterránea mensual, para el periodo completo de información, así como para los periodos lluviosos y secos definidos en el presente estudio. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el comportamiento del volumen de agua subterránea no se ve influenciado por las precipitaciones. Los caudales, principalmente los provenientes del periodo seco explican mejor el comportamiento del volumen de agua subterránea por los deshilos. Sin embargo, los volúmenes de agua subterránea o reservas, a lo largo del periodo presentan volumen altos, lo que presume el aporte de agua subterránea constantemente.Item Evaluación de la humedad del suelo para el estudio de la interacción agua superficial-agua subterránea = (Evaluation of soil moisture for the study of surface water groundwater interaction)(Universidad de Concepción., 2011) Granda Aguirre, Stalin Vladimir; Rivera Salazar, Diego; supervisor de gradoLa presente investigación verso sobre el estudio del contenido de humedad del suelo en su dinámica espacial y temporal. La técnica empleada, mediante sensores de capacitancia dieléctrica EC-5 (Decagon Devices Inc., Pullman, USA), permite cuantificar la evolución de los estados de humedad del suelo, con apoyo del balance hídrico en la zona vadosa, considerando para el efecto el clima local y las propiedades hidrofísicas del suelo. El área de experimentación se ubico en la comuna de Coihueco, a 15 Km de la ciudad de Chillán, en el predio “Agrícola AgroCaso”, en cuyo terreno se mantiene un cultivo de arándonos (Vaccinium sp.) El monitoreo continuo de la humedad del suelo, así como el registro de los factores climáticos, se desarrollaron durante la estación invernal, en el periodo comprendido may/10 – oct/10, pero con fines de análisis se considero el lapso 08 jun/10 – 31 jul/10. La zona de estudio corresponde a suelos de origen volcánico correspondiente a la familia media térmica de los Typic melanoxerads (Andisol). Texturalmente, dominan las texturas francas con predominio de los limos y arcillas. En su constitución son suelos livianos que retienen agua en cantidad suficiente y la liberan así mismo con facilidad. La compactación tiene una connotación importante, con valores superiores a 2 MPa, buena parte del predio descansa sobre material parental no consolidado, que limita en cierta forma las condiciones de infiltración y humedad en profundidad. La integración de los datos de humedad en la evolución del balance hídrico permitió comprender la dinámica del agua en el suelo. Tras los eventos de lluvia, hasta 60 cm de profundidad se ha evidenciado apreciables contenidos de humedad, cercanos a saturación con valores alrededor de 0,5 m3 m-3. Existen también secciones donde el agua tiene dificultades de acceso, se ha podido registrar valores del orden 0,3 m3 m-3. El análisis de la robustez de acuerdo con la función matemática “wavelets”, la integración del balance hídrico del contenido de humedad en el espacio-tiempo, determinó que la mejor resolución con la menor frecuencia de error (0,1), y con criterio económico, corresponde a tener instalados en terreno los puntos P1, P3 y P7 con dos sensores por punto, a 40 y 60 cm de profundidad, ya que en esta región se registran las mayores variaciones del contenido de humedad en el predio. La variabilidad de la humedad en el dominio frecuencia-tiempo, permitió verificar que la mejor resolución se alcanza a la escala de 2 – 4 horas, a escalas más grandes se pierde efectividad.
