Abstract
The main objective of this thesis was the development and implementation of an energy efficiency measurement system for pumping systems. For this purpose, an ESP32 Microcontroller was used in conjunction with the IoT Thingsboard platform, allowing real-time monitoring of critical variables and performance indicators. The methodology employed includes data acquisition through sensors that communicate via MODBUS protocol, which are sent in real time using the MQTT protocol via Wifi. The system was implemented in a test bench with two pumps in parallel, models CP 190 and 170, and was evaluated in two experimental conditions: Scenary 1, where the pumps operated at their nominal frequency (50 Hz), and Scenary 2, where the frequency of the CP190 pump was adjusted. The results obtained showed that the frequency adjustment increased the energy efficiency of the system, improving the PEE by 1,7% and reducing the energy expenditure by 0,7 kW-h per cubic meter pumped at the most efficient point. In conclusion, the use of the monitoring system allowed optimizing the performance of the pumping system, reducing energy consumption and promoting greater operational sustainability.
