Abstract
The way in which ecosystems incorporate the image of human beings into their natural structure without these (ecosystems) seeing their own functioning altered, and if so, the environment is capable of assimilating the intervention and can sustain its inherent cycle without affecting the other elements that compose it, is called ecosystem services. Seek and position all existing forms of life equally and assume, in the same way, that each being depends on the other for its existence, development and good living. Reality is dynamic and is in constant evolution, transforming itself at every moment by a multiplicity of factors that are generated with the passage of time as well as by the response of these to these new circumstances, the same happens with human beings. Assume that these ecological processes and their ecosystemic structure depend on complex interactions between biotic, abiotic and social components in a space, and that they, as a whole, contribute and relate as a "communion of subjects" and not as a "collection of objects" in the territory with the same purpose, sustainable development and good living. Water governance represents a highly complex reality and seeks to establish commitments between the different sectors to establish a "water security" plan that ensures availability and quality for human supply, subsistence uses, ecosystem protection and production. Thus, this work identifies and describes the ecosystem services provided by an Andean zone of the Ñuble region, specifically the headwaters of the Ñuble River Wathershed.
